Security Operations Center Analyst L1

About the role

As a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst Level 1, you will be the first line of defence in a 24/7 SOC, monitoring security events and investigating alerts to protect customer environments from cyber threats. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) setting, working closely with senior analysts and security engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts across SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS and other platforms.
• Perform initial triage to distinguish false positives from actionable incidents.
• Analyse logs, events and indicators of compromise (IOCs).
• Follow SOC runbooks and standard operating procedures for alert handling and escalation.
• Document findings and escalate validated incidents for deeper investigation.

Required profile

• Early‑career cybersecurity professional with a strong foundation in security operations.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts (including weekends and holidays) with two days off per week.
• Ability to work onsite in Dubai and travel to nearby customer locations.
• Basic understanding of networking, operating systems and security concepts.
