Security Senior Application Security Engineer

About the role

Bybit is seeking a senior Application Security Engineer to lead security auditing and governance across its cryptocurrency platform. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to identify and remediate security risks in code, architecture, and business processes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform manual code security audits on Java, Go, JavaScript, C++ and other business code, producing detailed audit reports.
• Monitor domestic and international security developments, reproduce latest vulnerabilities, and propose mitigations.
• Analyze security risks in product architecture, business logic, and processes, delivering actionable solutions.
• Drive implementation of security solutions and risk governance initiatives.
• Participate in or lead Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) activities.

Required profile

• Associate degree or higher (flexible for strong candidates).
• Minimum 3 + years of experience in business development, code audit, or security engineering with Java or Go.
• Proven experience implementing or contributing to SDL.
• Deep understanding of common security vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
