Senior Accountant – Construction

About the role

A construction company in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports, conduct reconciliations, and support daily finance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records
• Prepare financial reports and support monthly closing activities
• Handle VAT-related accounting requirements and compliance
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain financial-data accuracy using Excel and accounting software
• Support finance operations and provide accounting insights when required

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant
• Previous construction-industry experience is required
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Knowledge of VAT, reconciliations, payables, and receivables
• Good command of Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively
