Senior Accountant – Dubai

About the role

The Accounting Manager role is a full‑time, on‑site position in Dubai, responsible for overseeing daily financial and accounting operations. You will lead the preparation of financial statements, manage month‑end and year‑end closings, and ensure compliance with UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities, including journal entries, GL maintenance and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports and cash‑flow analyses.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, monitor supplier and customer balances, and handle collections.
• Control fixed‑asset accounting, depreciation schedules and asset reconciliations.
• Coordinate monthly and annual closing processes, budgeting and forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, corporate tax and other regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits and provide analytical insights to management.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in trading, chemical distribution, manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; ACCA, CPA or CMA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles and UAE tax regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work across multiple departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax.
