Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in the DIFC, Dubai. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, leading month‑end and year‑end close processes, and driving system improvements in a fast‑moving SaaS environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own month‑end and year‑end close, preparing complex journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and adjustments.
• Perform and review balance‑sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
• Support management reporting and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Act as a primary contact for internal and external audits.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes, providing guidance during close.
• Manage intercompany allocations, recharges and reconciliations.
• Lead ERP migration and finance system automation projects, working extensively with Xero and integrated tools.
• Coach and develop junior team members.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with at least 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and handle complex accounting tasks.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Experience guiding and coaching junior staff.
