Senior Accountant

About the role

Help AG is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead day‑to‑day accounting activities, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The role supports month‑end and year‑end close processes, prepares financial statements, and provides insights for strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end closing, including journal entries, revenue calculation, cost allocation, and contract review.
• Prepare financial packs: monthly/quarterly P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, project P&L, forecasts, and segment P&L.
• Maintain supporting schedules and reconciliations for balance‑sheet items.
• Investigate client queries and coordinate resolutions across departments.
• Design and enforce controls for financial‑statement preparation.
• Produce financial schedules for department managers and respond to internal/external stakeholder inquiries.
• Monitor project status, propose process‑efficiency initiatives, and assist with budgeting and rolling forecasts.
• Collaborate with IT to resolve ERP‑related issues and perform other ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, CMA, or CiMA.
• Senior‑associate level audit experience with a Big 4 firm (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of UAE/KSA VAT rules and statutory financial‑statement consolidation.
• Experience in project/segment and group accounting, preferably in the TMT sector.
• Excellent presentation, organizational, and communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Ability to handle high‑volume workloads and tight deadlines with a proactive, self‑motivated attitude.
