Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. The role involves managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
• Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded and reconciled.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes and perform regular reconciliations of bank, AP/AR and other accounts.
• Develop budgets and financial forecasts, analyse data and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Monitor costs, identify improvement or cost‑saving opportunities, and file tax returns.
• Evaluate accounting processes and propose efficiency enhancements.

Required profile

• CPA or CA certification (mandatory).
• 5‑7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS and local tax regulations.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude with solid decision‑making abilities.
