Senior Accountant

About the role

We are a leading diversified group in Dubai seeking a proactive Senior Accountant to manage end‑to‑end accounting functions. The ideal candidate will be detail‑oriented, possess strong UAE accounting experience, and be able to work independently while supporting multiple business units.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
• Oversee bookkeeping, journal entries, sales, purchases, expenses, receipts and payments.
• Perform and review bank, cash, customer and supplier reconciliations.
• Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable, following up on outstanding balances.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and management accounts.
• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards.
• Monitor compliance with UAE VAT and other financial regulations.
• Support budgeting, cash‑flow monitoring and financial analysis as required.
• Provide schedules, reconciliations and documentation to external auditors.
• Identify discrepancies, implement corrective actions and ensure internal controls are followed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with strong UAE exposure.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
