Senior Accountant – Record to Report (R2R)

About the role

The Senior Accountant – Record to Report (R2R) will ensure accurate and timely month‑end closing, balance‑sheet substantiation, and management reporting for Al‑Futtaim’s automotive business units. You will streamline R2R processes, review trial balances, and support both local and overseas financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control monthly book closing to meet group timelines.
• Continuously improve closing activities to deliver high‑quality financials.
• Review key automotive accounts in the trial balance and substantiate balances.
• Standardise accounting processes, perform regular reconciliations, and enhance fixed‑asset management.
• Prepare and submit monthly management reports using approved templates.
• Support overseas entities by reviewing processes and sharing best practices.
• Coordinate external audits, providing explanations and schedules to auditors.
• Assist in preparing standalone financial statements for automotive entities.

Required profile

• UAE national with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Extensive experience in Record to Report, preferably within the automotive sector.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and group finance policies.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external auditors.
