Senior Accountant (VAT & Corporate Tax)

About the role

GoStride Ventures is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage VAT and corporate tax services for its growing portfolio of SME clients in Dubai. You will work directly with the founder, own client relationships end‑to‑end, and help shape the practice as it scales.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts for a diverse portfolio of SME clients.
• Prepare and file VAT returns and corporate tax returns in line with FTA requirements.
• Handle payroll processing, WPS, and end‑of‑service calculations.
• Prepare management accounts, reconciliations, and year‑end financial statements.
• Proactively keep clients ahead of compliance obligations.
• Act as the main point of contact for your portfolio, responding to queries quickly.
• Scope work, prepare proposals and quotations, and identify additional services to grow accounts.
• Participate in client and prospect meetings, leveraging technical credibility.
• Build referral relationships with corporate service providers and business setup consultants.
• Help refine internal processes, templates, and checklists as the client base expands.
• Report on portfolio status, filing deadlines, and pipeline to management.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of accounting experience in the UAE, with hands‑on VAT and corporate tax filing.
• Experience in an accounting firm or consultancy handling multiple client portfolios.
• Recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, CA, CMA or equivalent).
