Senior AI Engineer - Agentic AI Products

About the role

A product-led technology company is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to build advanced agentic AI systems that operate autonomously in real-world environments. The focus is on shipping robust, production-ready systems that reason, plan, take action and adapt, rather than experiments or research. You will join a highly technical team and work closely with product and engineering teams to turn business challenges into intelligent agent workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design agentic architectures covering planning, execution, memory and feedback loops
• Build agents that use RAG pipelines to retrieve and reason over proprietary knowledge
• Implement embeddings and vector search for semantic retrieval and long-term agent memory
• Integrate LLMs with tools, APIs, databases and internal services
• Develop evaluation frameworks to measure agent accuracy, reliability and failure modes
• Optimise performance, latency and cost for production AI systems
• Debug agent behaviour in complex, real-world scenarios

Required profile

• Senior-level AI engineer with strong hands-on experience building and deploying intelligent systems
• Comfortable designing around the limitations of LLMs in production
• Product mindset focused on reliable outcomes
• Comfortable working in ambiguous problem spaces with high ownership

Required skills

• Strong Python engineering skills and experience shipping production-grade AI systems
• Agentic AI, RAG pipelines, embeddings and vector search
• Semantic retrieval, context management and knowledge grounding
• Evaluating and improving LLM-driven systems beyond simple accuracy metrics
