Senior Airfield Design Manager

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Airfield Design Manager to lead the planning, design, construction and maintenance of airfield infrastructure across the United Arab Emirates. You will be responsible for delivering safe, compliant, and high‑quality runway, taxiway, apron and lighting projects in operational airport environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead airfield engineering design and overall project delivery.
• Manage runway, taxiway, apron and pavement rehabilitation programmes.
• Review engineering designs, specifications, contractor submissions and technical reports.
• Coordinate with airport operations, ATC, regulators, consultants and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with ICAO Annex 14, FAA, GCAA‑UAE and GACA‑KSA standards.
• Support asset management, CAPEX planning and safety assessments.
• Implement Civil 3D, BIM and GIS workflows and ACC/CDE platform collaboration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Airport or Infrastructure Engineering.
• 20+ years of engineering experience, including at least 12 years on airport projects.
• Deep knowledge of airfield pavements, ICAO Annex 14 and FAA standards.
• Proven experience delivering projects in live airport environments.
• Professional certification such as PMP, PE or CEng is an advantage.
• Middle‑East airport project experience preferred.
