Senior Architect – 6‑Month Contract (AED 21K)

About the role

The Senior Architect will lead the review and supervision of architectural and interior design deliverables for major building projects in the UAE. This contract position involves ensuring design intent, contract compliance, and high‑quality execution from shop‑drawing review through to final handover.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural and interior design shop drawings, material samples, mock‑ups and method statements for compliance with contract documents.
• Provide technical comments on finishes, façades, ceilings, partitions, joinery, doors, ironmongery, wet areas, furniture, wall finishes and flooring.
• Inspect site works, advise the Resident Engineer on acceptance, rejection or corrective actions.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces with structural, MEP, façade, authorities and specialist subcontractors.
• Validate mock‑ups and workmanship standards before bulk execution.
• Monitor contractor responses to comments and verify incorporation into revised submissions.
• Identify design discrepancies, clashes, buildability issues and raise RFIs or clarifications.
• Support progress and quality reporting, manage risks related to long‑lead finishes and approvals.
• Assist in snagging, de‑snagging and final acceptance of completed areas.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in architectural design review and site supervision on large‑scale projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent.
• Professional architectural registration or society membership preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with UAE authorities, codes and regulations.
• Strong interior finish expertise.
