Senior Architect

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Senior Architect to lead architectural excellence for large‑scale projects in Dubai. You will shape design vision, guide multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with local and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive architectural strategies and design concepts aligned with client objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of architects and designers.
• Conduct detailed design analysis, feasibility studies, and BIM modeling to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve design challenges from concept to completion.
• Ensure all designs meet UAE building codes and relevant international regulations.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources while maintaining quality.
• Review and approve drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Perform quality‑assurance audits and site inspections to verify design intent.
• Communicate project status and strategic insights to senior management and clients.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in architecture, preferably on complex, large‑scale projects.
• Strong leadership and mentorship abilities.
• Excellent understanding of UAE building regulations and international standards.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Advanced CAD proficiency.
• Building Information Modeling (BIM) expertise.
