Senior Architect – Technical Lead

About the role

WSP Middle East is seeking a dynamic Senior Architect (Technical) to join its Technical Architecture Team within the Property & Buildings Business Unit in Dubai. The role offers the chance to lead the technical design of high‑profile, multidisciplinary projects across the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical development and delivery of architectural projects from concept through construction.
• Prepare, review and coordinate detailed design packages, drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, international codes and project‑specific requirements.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape, interior design and specialist consultants.
• Support BIM implementation and technical design coordination across projects.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, RFIs and construction‑stage technical queries.
• Mentor junior architects and promote technical excellence and quality assurance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 8 years of professional architectural experience with a strong focus on technical design and delivery.
• Experience in a leading architecture, engineering or multidisciplinary consultancy.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary coordination and stakeholder communication.
• Previous experience on projects in the Middle East is highly desirable.
