Senior Associate – Retail Festivals & Events

About the role

The Senior Associate – Retail Festivals & Events is responsible for coordinating the operational requirements of assigned retail festivals, Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) events, activations and related initiatives. The role ensures timely preparation of workplans, tracking of deliverables, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to support successful event delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain detailed event workplans, timelines, milestones and task trackers for each assigned festival or activation.
• Develop event briefs, project one‑pagers, presentation materials and internal updates to support planning and execution.
• Coordinate with vendors, partners, malls, retailers, sponsors and service providers to secure approvals, quotations, contracts and deliverables.
• Track event budgets, purchase requests, invoices and expenditure updates in collaboration with Finance and Procurement.
• Compile procurement requirements, issue RFPs/RFIs and manage supplier onboarding and contracting processes.
• Arrange and attend coordination meetings, document action points and follow up on agreed deliverables.
• Conduct site visits and operational checks to verify venue readiness, branding locations, logistics and crowd flow.
• Prepare run‑sheets, implementation schedules, contact lists, checklists and escalation trackers for on‑ground execution.
• Monitor events during implementation, identify operational issues and escalate risks for timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, legal and regulatory requirements, including permits and NOCs.
