Senior Associate – Risk Advisory & Financial Crime Compliance

About the role

Ankura is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Risk Advisory practice, focusing on Financial Crime Compliance. The role will support forensic investigations, fraud risk assessments and compliance reviews for a diverse portfolio of private and public sector clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day delivery of forensic investigations, fraud risk assessments, forensic accounting assignments, compliance reviews, forensic audits, background and asset searches, and fund tracing.
• Design and deliver client proposals, presentations and marketing materials.
• Prepare engagement work plans, working papers, progress reports and high‑quality final reports.
• Collaborate with clients, legal advisors, auditors and regulators in sensitive and adversarial situations.
• Lead and coordinate internal and external experts throughout the engagement lifecycle.
• Monitor and manage risk, ensuring strict confidentiality and client satisfaction.
• Support and train junior resources and contribute to business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Relevant experience in forensic investigations, fraud risk assessment or financial crime compliance.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver high‑quality outputs.
