Senior Automotive Design Engineer (R&D) – Dubai

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Automotive Design Engineer (R&D) to lead the design and development of custom vehicle projects in Dubai. You will own the full product lifecycle, from concept and rendering through prototyping, production, and testing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end automotive design and development for custom builds and vehicle modifications.
• Create concept designs and high‑quality renders for client approval.
• Develop detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings for sheet‑metal, structural components, and full vehicle assemblies.
• Manage product lifecycle: concept, prototyping, production, and testing.
• Validate design feasibility, manufacturability, compliance with UAE/GCC standards, and cost efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain BOMs, technical documentation, ECNs, and design revisions.
• Coordinate with production teams, workshops, and engineering departments to resolve technical issues.
• Mentor junior designers and engineers on best practices and design standards.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering or equivalent.
• 6–10+ years of experience in automotive design, vehicle modification/up‑fitting, and product development.
• Previous experience in the GCC region is preferred.
• Immediate availability to relocate to Dubai.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, Geomagic Design, SketchUp.
• Expertise in sheet‑metal design and fabrication processes.
• Strong knowledge of structural component and full‑assembly design.
• Manufacturing feasibility, DFM/DFA principles.
• Understanding of vehicle modification standards and GCC compliance.
