Senior Backend Developer (Luxury Hospitality)

About the role

FIVE Hotels and Resorts is looking for a senior backend developer to drive the technology behind its award‑winning luxury hospitality experiences. You will join a fast‑paced, innovative team and help shape the digital backbone of the brand’s global portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust backend services and APIs.
• Lead a team of four developers, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
• Implement and secure database solutions using MySQL, PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Build RESTful and GraphQL APIs that power mobile and web applications.
• Deploy and manage services on cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud or Azure.
• Ensure code and data security through encryption, authentication and access‑control mechanisms.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and monitoring.
• Architect microservices and containerised workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field (master’s preferred).
• 5‑7 years of professional backend development experience.
• Proven leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to thrive in an agile, high‑velocity environment.
