Senior Bid Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Bid Manager to lead the preparation and delivery of equipment proposals for Siemens Energy’s centrifugal compressor product line across the Middle East. The role supports the global sales effort, ensuring technically sound and commercially competitive offers that meet customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse client Request for Quotations (RFQs) and select appropriate equipment, drivers and auxiliary systems using Siemens engineering tools.
• Develop fully configured solutions with clear value propositions and prepare detailed scope of supply documents.
• Coordinate with the Project Procurement Manager and vendors to obtain buy‑out RFQs, conduct cost analysis and define payment milestones.
• Perform cash‑flow and margin analyses, assess commercial and execution risks, and complete risk‑assessment forms.
• Maintain the proposal Bill of Materials, system drawings and project schedule, and keep Salesforce CRM updated for all bid‑related items.
• Collaborate with regional coordination groups, commercial & finance, field service and other internal stakeholders to identify risks and propose mitigation actions.
• Support Sales Managers in shaping technical and commercial strategies, and ensure compliance with internal proposal procedures and deadlines.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cost and time in the bid development cycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years (180 months) of experience in bid management, proposal engineering or related fields within the energy or industrial sector.
• Strong understanding of equipment selection, cost modelling, cash‑flow analysis and commercial risk assessment.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with procurement, finance, engineering and field service teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
