Senior Chartering Specialist

About the role

Subsea7 is seeking a Senior Chartering Specialist to join its Supply Chain Management team in Dubai. The role supports project and tender activities across the Middle East, handling the chartering of transportation and marine assets from pre‑award market engagement through post‑award contract management.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with suppliers to conduct market screening and issue enquiries.
• Perform commercial assessment, normalisation and evaluation of supplier offers.
• Prepare bid summaries and present findings to internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate technical evaluations with relevant functions.
• Lead negotiations, draft and place Charter Party contracts.
• Manage post‑award activities, including contract amendments, invoice approval and cost tracking against budget.
• Ensure contractual obligations are communicated and understood across project teams.
• Maintain compliance with Subsea7 policies, safety standards and client requirements.

Required profile

• Degree or qualification in Maritime Business or Maritime Law.
• Proven experience in offshore chartering, preferably with BIMCO charter parties such as Supply Time, Heavycon, Bargehire and GENCON.
• Familiarity with SAP Ariba and SAP S/4HANA for market screening and purchase order processing.
