Senior Civil & Structural Engineer – 6‑Month Contract

About the role

We are seeking a senior civil and structural engineer to lead the planning, design and construction of a major project in Abu Dhabi on a six‑month contract basis. The role involves overseeing all civil and structural activities from inception through completion, ensuring compliance with schedule, budget and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support and manage all civil and structural aspects of the construction project from start to finish.
• Lead project planning, budgeting and resource identification.
• Monitor construction progress against the predetermined schedule and adjust work plans as needed.
• Coordinate with contractors and ensure effective communication throughout all project phases.
• Maintain strict adherence to budgetary, quality and safety guidelines.
• Conduct periodic site inspections and verify completeness of project documentation.
• Identify potential design or construction issues that could lead to disputes or claims.
• Comply with Enerflex HR, Quality, HSE policies and all company procedures.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (preferred) and a postgraduate degree in construction management (advantageous).
• Minimum 10 years of experience managing construction projects.
• Strong planning, organization and logical decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to lead multi‑national teams across multiple projects and countries.
• Willingness to work long hours and operate in challenging outdoor conditions such as extreme heat, cold, sandstorms or high elevation.
