Senior Commissioning Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer to join KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions team in Abu Dhabi. The role will focus on delivering commissioning activities for large‑scale oil and gas EPC projects, including gas and NGL pipeline networks and on‑shore processing facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and start‑up activities for gas pipeline and NGL pipeline projects.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with ADNOC and client specifications.
• Manage commissioning schedules, budgets and quality assurance for multi‑million‑dollar assets.
• Oversee testing, pre‑commissioning, and hand‑over procedures for on‑shore plants and pipelines.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior commissioning staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in oil & gas EPC projects.
• At least 5 years of on‑shore commissioning experience, preferably on ADNOC projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any discipline).
• Proven track record on multi‑million‑dollar gas pipeline or NGL projects.

Required skills

• Commissioning of gas pipelines and NGL pipeline networks.
• Knowledge of ADNOC project standards and on‑shore plant operations.
• Experience with EPC project execution and start‑up phases.
