Senior Communications Consultant

About the role

Technology Innovation Institute (TII) in Abu Dhabi is looking for a Senior Communications Consultant to shape and deliver communication strategies that support its international partnership framework and promote Abu Dhabi as a global R&D hub. The role will drive messaging for TII’s nine research priorities, engage stakeholders, and act as the primary point of contact for all internal and external communication needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans aligned with TII’s goals, incorporating market research and audience analysis.
• Create, edit and review content for press releases, articles, blogs, website, social media and marketing collateral, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
• Manage media relations, pitch stories, secure coverage and monitor media and social trends to protect and enhance TII’s reputation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to coordinate campaigns and ensure timely delivery of communication assets.
• Serve as the chief approver of all TII communications, providing guidance and feedback across the department.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior communications or public‑relations roles, preferably within research, technology or innovation environments.
• Strong command of English writing and editing, with the ability to craft clear, compelling messages for diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects and liaise with senior stakeholders.
