Senior Compliance Manager - Commodities

About the role

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced compliance professional to lead the compliance function within a fast‑growing international commodities trading business based in Dubai. You will work independently, providing practical compliance guidance that supports commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary compliance lead, managing the function autonomously.
• Provide practical compliance advice to trading, procurement, finance and operations teams.
• Identify, assess and mitigate compliance and business risks, implementing effective controls.
• Support international trading activities, ensuring compliance processes align with business goals.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and deliver proactive compliance recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven compliance experience in a commodity trading house, agribusiness, energy trading, shipping or a similar international trading environment.
• Strong understanding of corporate compliance, business risk, third‑party risk and commercial operations.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and make sound compliance decisions without constant supervision.
• Experience supporting trading activities, including exposure to hedging, physical trading or related commercial operations.
• Additional language skills such as Arabic, Portuguese or French are advantageous; strong English proficiency required.
