Senior Construction Engineer – Civil

About the role

Worley is seeking a Senior Construction Engineer (Civil) to lead construction support for projects in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures that all fabrication and installation work follows client specifications and contributes to safe, efficient project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide construction support and ensure work complies with client fabrication and installation specifications.
• Coordinate with clients to clarify construction methods and expedite review of documents and drawings.
• Review design packages early to eliminate rework and optimise construction.
• Chair constructability reviews and act as the primary interface for fabrication and construction queries.
• Develop and maintain workpacks, including testing requirements, specialist tools, and vendor selection.
• Promote HSSE compliance, cost‑reduction initiatives and productivity improvements.
• Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams and maintain professional relationships with client procurement and construction groups.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in civil construction engineering, preferably in the energy or resources sector.
• Strong understanding of HSSE plans and ability to enforce safety standards.
• Proven ability to work in multi‑disciplinary, client‑facing environments.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
