Senior Construction/Installation Engineer – Structures (Topsides & Bridges)

About the role

KBR is expanding its Project Management Consultancy team for a high‑profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The Senior Construction/Installation Engineer will lead the planning, coordination and execution of construction, load‑out, transportation, offshore installation, hook‑up and commissioning support for topsides, inter‑connecting bridges and related structural facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead construction and offshore installation engineering activities for topsides, bridges, modules and associated structures.
• Review, approve and optimise installation methodologies, lifting plans, rigging studies and transportation analyses.
• Develop detailed installation work packs, method statements and execution plans.
• Ensure constructability is incorporated during engineering and fabrication phases.
• Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, marine and commissioning teams to meet project objectives.
• Monitor offshore installation progress, enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with client requirements and industry codes.
• Provide technical leadership and interface management throughout all project phases.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in offshore construction and installation of topsides and bridge structures.
• Proven ability to plan, coordinate and oversee load‑out, transport and offshore installation activities.
• Strong technical leadership and interface management skills.
• Willingness to work a 6‑weeks‑on / 3‑weeks‑off rotation, initially based in Abu Dhabi office then offshore.
