Senior Consultant Neurologist – Government Hospital

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant Neurologist to join a leading government healthcare facility in Dubai. The role involves delivering expert neurological care to adult patients, managing complex cases, and contributing to clinical leadership, education, and quality improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist consultation, diagnosis, and management for a wide range of neurological disorders.
• Assess and treat acute and complex conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, movement disorders, neuromuscular diseases, headaches, and neurodegenerative illnesses.
• Manage neurological emergencies in collaboration with emergency and critical care teams.
• Interpret diagnostic studies including MRI, CT, EEG, EMG, and NCS.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise, mentor, and train junior physicians, residents, and fellows.
• Participate in teaching, clinical audits, research, and quality improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with hospital policies and regulations.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD, MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Completed residency training in Neurology.
• Board certification in Neurology; American Board certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of post‑specialty consultant experience, preferably in a tertiary or government setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing complex neurological conditions.
