Senior Contracts Engineer (Site)

About the role

Wood is seeking a Senior Contracts Engineer to lead contract administration and commercial risk management for complex oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. You will act as the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met and that project delivery aligns with agreed terms.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, administer and oversee all contractual aspects of assigned projects on behalf of the client.
• Ensure contracts are executed in accordance with project requirements, applicable laws and agreed terms.
• Identify, assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide contractual advice, support tendering and procurement activities, and handle EPCM, EPC and Design‑Build contracts.
• Oversee cost payment management, contract administration and commercial claims handling.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years (180 months) of experience in contracts engineering within the oil & gas or related energy sector.
• Proven track record in managing large, complex projects and delivering contractual solutions.
• Strong understanding of UAE labour and commercial law is advantageous.
