Senior Credit Control Officer

About the role

The Senior Credit Control Officer will ensure that all credit facilities and associated security documentation are prepared, reviewed and registered in strict compliance with Islamic finance principles, UAE law and the bank’s internal policies. The role requires bilingual preparation of documents and close coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Facility Letters, Facility Agreements and Security/Collateral documents in English and Arabic using approved legal and Sharia‑compliant templates.
• Validate that executed documents are signed by authorized signatories and that required legal opinions are obtained.
• Register and perfect securities/collaterals with relevant authorities, ensuring timely compliance with Credit Risk Policy and CCD SOPs.
• Maintain and update facility limits, collateral records, EIRC registrations and risk grades.
• Verify documentation for offshore entities or documents executed outside the UAE for regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of Islamic financing structures, facility agreements and collateral documentation.
• Strong understanding of UAE legal and Sharia frameworks governing credit facilities.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to Delegation of Lending Authority and internal approval processes.
• Attention to detail in reviewing and validating complex legal documents.

Required skills

• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing bilingual (English/Arabic) legal and Sharia‑compliant documentation.
• Familiarity with credit risk policies, CCD SOPs and registration procedures for securities.
