Senior Data Center Engineer Technician – Data Center Operations

About the role

Amazon Web Services is looking for a Senior Data Center Engineer Technician to join its Infrastructure Operations team in Abu Dhabi. You will act as a subject‑matter expert and escalation point for complex hardware, fiber, and networking issues while championing safety across the data centre.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce the highest safety standards, lead safety initiatives, conduct inspections and coach team members.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, network and infrastructure problems with minimal supervision.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for high‑severity incidents and ensure SLA compliance.
• Perform advanced root‑cause analysis of equipment failures and document findings.
• Mentor junior technicians, drive process improvements and own operational excellence for the site or shift.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in data‑center operations and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and mentor junior staff.
• Strong safety mindset with experience conducting safety audits and inspections.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
