Senior Data Centre Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

Eaton is looking for a Senior Data Centre Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design, development and implementation of electrical systems for data centre projects. The role combines deep technical expertise with leadership, ensuring high‑quality, innovative solutions that meet the fast‑changing demands of modern data centres.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering leadership for LV, MV, UPS, energy storage and related data centre electrical systems.
• Conduct detailed engineering analyses and recommend improvements to electrical systems and processes.
• Support early Eaton system approvals by vendors (AVL) for programmatic purchases.
• Offer ad‑hoc technical design support to customers.
• Collaborate with Design & Bid, engineering, operations and business teams to deliver successful electrical projects.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years (96 months) of experience in electrical design for data centres or similar environments.
• Proven track record of solving complex technical challenges.
• Strong ability to work across cross‑functional teams and communicate technical concepts.
• Experience with LV, MV, UPS and energy storage system design.
