Senior Design Engineer – Formwork

About the role

Azizi Developments, a leading private developer in the UAE, is seeking a Senior Design Engineer – Formwork to lead the design and engineering of safe, efficient and cost-effective formwork, shoring and scaffolding solutions for its construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop safe, economical and buildable formwork, shoring and scaffolding solutions.
• Prepare General Arrangement, assembly, and steel fabrication drawings, as well as 2D and 3D models.
• Perform, review and verify engineering calculations using structural analysis and temporary works software.
• Ensure designs comply with BS Standards, UAE local regulations, codes of practice and project specifications.
• Apply proprietary formwork systems such as PERI or Doka.
• Prepare accurate material take‑offs, quantities and material lists.
• Maintain complete engineering documentation according to company procedures.
• Attend technical and coordination meetings with project teams, consultants, clients and site personnel.
• Provide technical guidance to construction teams and coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers and fabricators.
• Conduct site visits to review implementation and ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years (120 months) of experience in formwork, shoring and scaffolding design.
• Proven ability to lead junior engineers and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction regulations and BS Standards.
