Senior Director, Financial Analysis (CEMEA Planning COE Lead)

About the role

The Senior Director, CEMEA Planning Center of Excellence Lead will drive strategic direction and operational excellence for regional financial planning across Visa. Reporting to the VP of Planning COE, the role shapes common practices, oversees partnership activities, and ensures consistency in expense and revenue strategy, driver analysis, quality control, governance, and analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy standardized global transformation solutions.
• Lead development and implementation of comprehensive regional planning strategies aligned with organizational financial goals.
• Drive cross‑functional projects to adopt global standards for expense strategy, driver analysis, quality control, and process governance.
• Partner with regional finance teams and stakeholders, leveraging data‑driven insights to inform strategic decisions.
• Establish and maintain robust quality‑control measures and governance frameworks for regional planning activities.
• Own key deliverables and projects on behalf of the broader Planning COE agenda, ensuring unified standards across regions.
• Foster a culture of innovation, quickly adjusting planning strategies to changing business environments.
• Lead and develop a team of four full‑time employees, providing coaching, performance management, and career development.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or 12+ years with an advanced degree, or PhD with 9+ years).
• Proven experience leading regional financial planning teams in a large, complex organization.
• Strong understanding of expense strategy, driver analysis, quality control, and process governance.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and deliver actionable insights.
• Experience implementing and optimizing planning processes across multiple regions and business units.
• Experience driving innovation and digital transformation in financial planning processes.
