Senior Docking Technician

About the role

Emirates Engineering is seeking a Senior Docking Technician to lead a team responsible for the safe deployment, maintenance and repair of docking platforms and access equipment across its Dubai facilities. The role reports to the Docking Supervisor and supports a wide range of aircraft maintenance, repair and modification activities for Emirates and third‑party airlines.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange and deploy docking platforms, stands and access equipment according to the needs of engineering departments.
• Conduct daily inspections of all docking equipment, complete inspection sheets and forward them for approval.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, fault finding and repairs on docking systems in line with GCAA, DM and manufacturer requirements.
• Diagnose and rectify equipment faults to minimise downtime and ensure operational reliability.
• Lead a team of technicians, providing guidance and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Identify potential equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Suggest and implement equipment modifications to reduce costs and improve performance, subject to required approvals.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in aircraft docking equipment maintenance and repair.
• Proven ability to lead a technical team in a high‑volume aviation environment.
• Strong knowledge of civil aviation authority regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
