Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Buildings

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic, technically strong, and client‑focused Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Buildings to join our Built Environment team. The role will lead and deliver electrical building‑services design on complex projects across the Middle East, taking technical responsibility and mentoring junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead electrical design delivery from concept through detailed design, tender, construction support and close‑out.
• Prepare, review and approve design calculations, specifications, drawings, reports and schedules.
• Design and coordinate power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, small power, earthing, lightning protection and ELV systems.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, fire, structural, architectural and BIM disciplines.
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, authorities and utility providers.
• Support project planning, resourcing, fee proposals, bid submissions and budget monitoring.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of post‑graduate experience in electrical building‑services design.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in the Middle East, preferably the UAE.
• Proven delivery of electrical designs for commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, education and public‑sector projects.
• Strong understanding of international standards, local regulations and authority requirements.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary consultancy environments.
