Senior Electrical Engineer – Facilities Maintenance

About the role

SSMC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the Facilities Maintenance Manager in ensuring all electrical networks and systems meet safety, regulatory and contractual standards. The role involves overseeing design, installation, testing and ongoing maintenance of electrical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on circuit types, circuit‑breaker selection and equipment layout based on engineering calculations.
• Prepare delivery and installation schedules for machines, cables and fittings.
• Verify that completed works comply with specifications, safety standards and contractual requirements.
• Monitor execution of works against contract drawings, specifications and programme timelines.
• Oversee electrical activities before, during and after project execution.
• Manage material compliance testing, maintain accurate records and conduct regular inspections.
• Plan annual upgrades and replacements for electrical networks and systems.
• Assist engineers in resolving technical queries and ensure timely approvals.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of relevant experience in a similar industry; experience in a large healthcare facility is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (or Diploma with 3 years additional experience).
• Master’s degree is desirable but not mandatory.
