Senior Electrical Engineer FM Operations

About the role

Innovations Global is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead technical operations within its large‑scale Facilities Management environment in Abu Dhabi. You will act as the authority for electrical infrastructure, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient performance of critical assets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and governance for all electrical engineering activities across the FM portfolio.
• Serve as the subject‑matter expert for substations, switchgear, generators, UPS, emergency power, lighting, earthing and lightning protection systems.
• Oversee asset lifecycle planning, condition assessments, reliability initiatives and renewal recommendations.
• Manage planned preventive maintenance, testing, inspection and specialist system upkeep.
• Coordinate civil works, including planning, site inspections, quality monitoring and progress reporting.
• Develop and mentor engineers, supervisors and technicians, delivering on‑the‑job technical training.
• Allocate resources, manage workloads and supervise specialist contractors and vendors to meet SLA/KPI, safety and quality standards.
• Support emergency response and business continuity planning for power‑related incidents.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, NFPA, NEC and FM best‑practice standards using CAFM/CMMS tools such as Maximo.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of relevant experience, preferably in Facilities Management.
• Proven experience leading electrical asset management and overseeing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of statutory regulations and safety standards.
