Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Inspector

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Inspector to lead inspection activities for new and brownfield projects in the oil & gas and petrochemical sectors. The role involves ensuring compliance of power distribution and control systems with design specifications and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and verify construction of 33 kV, 11 kV, 3.3 kV and 415 V power distribution networks, switchgear, control gear, UPS, earthing, lighting, underground cabling and cathodic protection.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, manufacturers and client representatives during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Interpret and apply EPC and vendor design documentation for testing, commissioning and modification of DCS, ESD, fire‑and‑gas and control‑room systems.
• Prepare technical reports and ensure adherence to ISO, ASME, AWS, API, DNV and BS codes.
• Support the integration of new package‑boiler instrumentation and small‑power distribution systems.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of inspection experience in oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
• Proven ability to liaise with EPC contractors, manufacturers and client teams.
• Fluent spoken and written English, with strong technical reporting skills.
• Computer literate and familiar with relevant industry codes.
