Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor

About the role

Penspen is urgently hiring a Senior Supervisor E&I for an offshore PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role leads and supervises all electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities on offshore oil and gas facilities, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Electrical and Instrumentation technicians, supervisors and contractors.
• Plan, coordinate and execute preventive, predictive, corrective and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Review, prioritize and approve maintenance work orders and monitor KPIs.
• Participate in offshore shutdown planning and execution, developing work scopes and resource requirements.
• Coordinate vendors and specialist contractors to ensure timely completion of maintenance and upgrade activities.
• Enforce offshore HSE policies, Permit to Work (PTW) requirements and conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and risk assessments.
• Verify electrical isolation and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Support reliability improvement initiatives and implement predictive maintenance strategies.
• Investigate equipment failures, perform Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and drive corrective actions.
• Mentor and develop E&I maintenance personnel, conduct competency assessments and create training plans.

Required profile

• Minimum 15+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in offshore projects.
• Proven experience managing shutdowns and major maintenance campaigns.
• Experience with safety‑critical and process control systems.
• Preferred background in PMC/EPC; ADNOC offshore experience is an advantage.
• Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited university.
