Senior Engineer – Contracts

About the role

The Senior Engineer – Contracts will lead centralized contract development activities, ensuring all contracting requirements are met cost‑effectively, on time and with high quality. You will handle complex, high‑value contracts, advise internal users, and manage the full contract lifecycle from tender to close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement contracting plans for each tender, aligning with company requirements.
• Prepare accurate tender documents covering technical, commercial, financial and legal aspects.
• Coordinate with Finance and Legal on standard contract forms and deviations.
• Participate in bid opening, ensure confidentiality and fairness of the process.
• Lead bid negotiations and prepare necessary paperwork.
• Conduct techno‑commercial evaluation of bids, recommend contractors, and issue Letters of Award.
• Provide contract interpretation, management and close‑out advisory to users.
• Review and evaluate variation orders and claims, recommending settlement actions.
• Prepare Letters of Award using standard templates and register contracts in SAP.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in contract development, tendering and negotiation for large‑scale projects.
• Strong understanding of commercial, legal and financial aspects of contracts.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams, including Finance and Legal.
• Excellent analytical and decision‑making skills.
