Senior Engineer – Projects (Projects Department)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to lead project engineering activities within the Projects Department of ADNOC Group in Abu Dhabi. The role oversees projects from concept through hand‑over, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, schedule, cost and value‑assurance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and supervision across all project phases, including FEED, detailed engineering, construction and commissioning.
• Lead contractor selection, pre‑qualification, bid evaluation and site logistics management.
• Develop statements of requirements, tender documents and review subcontractor strategies.
• Coordinate pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities with Operations and Maintenance teams.
• Review contractor documentation, ensure proper submission formats and manage purchase requisitions for material and equipment.
• Supervise specialist teams, monitor progress of licensors, engineering and EPC contractors, and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct value engineering, constructability reviews and workshops to optimise cost and performance.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or related discipline with extensive experience in large‑scale project execution.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑disciplinary teams and interface with contractors and consultants.
• Strong understanding of project life‑cycle processes, safety standards and quality assurance.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on value assurance.
