Senior Engineer – Quality (Lead QA/QC – Site)

About the role

Petrofac is seeking a Senior Engineer – Quality to lead the QA/QC function on a major site in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a closed‑loop Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with client requirements and internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the closed‑loop site Quality Management System.
• Conduct site quality inductions and orientations.
• Prepare and review quality documents, including Quality Control Plans, ITPs, and process control procedures.
• Coordinate with Completions to align PetroPCS with approved ITPs/ITRs.
• Audit the site quality system at least once and trigger unscheduled audits for serious deficiencies.
• Manage nondestructive testing inspections with subcontractors and vendors.
• Plan and notify QC inspection visits, ensuring all documentation is available.
• Perform surveillance activities and monitor construction processes.
• Maintain relationships with client site representatives and ensure client quality requirements are met.
• Oversee subcontractor quality teams, monitor performance, and report issues.
• Evaluate new quality/test methods, processes, and materials.

Required profile

• Proven experience implementing site Quality Management Systems.
• Strong background in QA/QC for construction projects.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Experience conducting audits and managing nondestructive testing.
