Senior Engineer – Roads Urban Design (UAE National)

About the role

The Senior Engineer – Roads Urban Design will lead strategy guide project studies and technical specifications for road urban design, ensuring alignment with sustainability principles and urban design frameworks. The role involves overseeing contractor designs, conducting site validations, and coordinating handovers in line with RTA protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review project studies and technical specifications for road urban design.
• Oversee contractor design submissions, ensuring compliance with technical and sustainability requirements.
• Conduct site visits to validate implementation against approved designs and specifications.
• Coordinate design and execution of compensatory areas impacted by road works per Dubai Municipality agreements.
• Manage handover of completed urban design scopes to relevant departments following RTA procedures.
• Prepare and coordinate MOUs, compile ad‑hoc and periodic reports for senior management.
• Track project study follow‑ups and ensure cost allocations align with approved budgets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 1+ year of experience with a Master’s (or 2+ years with a Bachelor’s) in a related field.
