Senior Engineer – Transportation Policies

About the role

The Senior Engineer – Transportation Policies will develop and apply transport‑demand policies, tools and studies, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to support a balanced, sustainable transport system in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Design and detail the system for regulating and managing transport demand in line with approved RTA policies.
• Draft policies and procedures to redistribute trips temporally and spatially, reducing private‑vehicle dependence.
• Identify impacts, set strategic priorities and create implementation programmes for sustainable transport‑demand policies.
• Maintain and update databases and analytical tools used to evaluate policy effectiveness.
• Conduct technical studies, benchmarking and scenario testing to support decision‑making.
• Monitor implementation of approved policies, coordinate with concerned departments and report status.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Review and improve data‑collection and policy‑evaluation mechanisms, documenting lessons learned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 12 months experience in transport‑demand management or related engineering roles.
• Proven ability to conduct detailed technical studies and produce policy‑focused documentation.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in data validation and reporting.
