Senior Engineering Manager – Offshore Project

About the role

The Senior Engineering Manager will lead all engineering activities for the UZ Islands Offshore Project, ensuring safe, cost‑effective and on‑time delivery from concept through handover. The role is based in Abu Dhabi with a temporary relocation to Spain before returning to the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering disciplines (process, mechanical, piping, structural, civil, electrical, instrumentation, telecom, HSE).
• Develop engineering execution plans, schedules and resource requirements.
• Lead design reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, constructability and operability studies.
• Support project budgeting, forecasting, change management and risk mitigation.
• Review and approve contractor and vendor engineering deliverables.
• Act as primary engineering interface with client, contractors and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with international offshore standards (API, ASME, IEC, DNV, ISO).
• Drive technical governance, quality assurance and support commissioning and start‑up.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years of engineering experience (240 months indicated).
• Proven leadership of large offshore oil & gas projects.
• Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Abu Dhabi and travel as required.
