Senior EOR IOR Operations Specialist

About the role

The Senior EOR IOR Operations Specialist will play a key role in Baker Hughes' Integrated Well Services team, supporting on‑site installation, maintenance and planning of advanced recovery solutions. You will work closely with customers and internal experts to design, implement and monitor enhanced and improved oil recovery concepts for mature fields.

Key responsibilities

• Lead screening and selection of fit‑for‑purpose recovery improvement concepts, including waterflood, gas injection, chemical and thermal EOR, conformance control and hybrid approaches.
• Assess reservoir suitability, injectant availability, facilities requirements, well deliverability, surveillance design and operational readiness as an integrated system.
• Provide first‑hand experience from design maturation to start‑up surveillance and performance monitoring of EOR/IOR projects.
• Quantify incremental recovery, production impact, uncertainty ranges, implementation risks and value drivers for investment decision support.
• Translate opportunities into technical and commercial propositions, define execution pathways and risk mitigation plans.
• Guide junior specialists and ensure all inputs are technically robust and decision‑ready.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in EOR/IOR design, screening, piloting, implementation or field optimisation.
• Strong understanding of subsurface suitability, injectant handling, well and facility operations, and surveillance tools.
