Senior Events Project Manager - Freelance

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Events Project Manager on a freelance basis to lead the delivery of complex events, festivals and strategic projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing project governance, budgets, stakeholder engagement, procurement and multidisciplinary teams from concept through to final delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead event projects from initial concept development to final execution, managing budgets, schedules, procurement and governance.
• Develop risk mitigation and contingency plans to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Act as the primary client contact, coordinating consultants, suppliers, contractors and internal teams.
• Ensure alignment between project objectives and delivery requirements.
• Monitor project performance, produce regular reports and guarantee compliance with quality standards and contractual obligations.
• Lead on‑site delivery and make operational decisions during events.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in event project management.
• Proven track record delivering major events, festivals, ceremonies or government projects.
• Strong commercial acumen and expertise in project governance.
