Senior Fabrication Site Manager – Offshore PMC Project

About the role

Wood is seeking a Senior Fabrication Site Manager to lead the EPC2 fabrication activities for a major offshore PMC project for ADNOC Offshore in Abu Dhabi. The role oversees all yard and site operations, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence and coordination across engineering, procurement and construction teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead fabrication site execution in line with project objectives, HSE requirements and quality standards.
• Manage yard operations covering structural, piping, mechanical and multidisciplinary fabrication works.
• Ensure activities meet approved schedules, budgets and specifications.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, QA/QC and commissioning teams for seamless execution.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance, productivity and resource utilization.
• Review and approve fabrication methodologies, work procedures and recovery plans.
• Drive compliance with ADNOC Offshore, Wood standards, industry codes and regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership, foster a strong safety culture and manage multicultural teams.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation plans and resolve technical and operational challenges.
• Prepare and present progress reports to project management and client representatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 20 years experience on large oil and gas development projects.
• At least 5 years of managerial experience.
• Extensive experience in fabrication management within large‑scale EPC/PMC oil & gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of offshore fabrication, welding, inspection, QA/QC processes and construction practices.
• Proven ability to manage large multicultural teams in fabrication yards and offshore environments.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
