Senior Family Medicine Consultant – Government Healthcare Facility

About the role

A prestigious government healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced Senior Specialist / Consultant in Family Medicine. The role involves delivering comprehensive, patient‑centered care across all age groups within a well‑established public health system.

Key responsibilities

• Provide full‑spectrum family medicine care, including consultations, diagnosis, treatment and follow‑up.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions, develop individualized treatment and preventive plans.
• Conduct health screenings, risk assessments and disease‑prevention services.
• Coordinate referrals and ensure continuity of care with specialist services.
• Deliver health education and lifestyle counseling to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to teaching, training and mentoring of junior medical staff.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Postgraduate qualification in Family Medicine / General Practice (e.g., UK CCT, American Board, Australian Board, South African Board).
• Significant post‑specialty clinical experience in Family Medicine.
• Proven ability to manage patients across diverse age groups and complex medical conditions.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
